Poland 12

The Lake Region Lakers (1-4) took advantage of an undermanned Poland squad to break a four-game losing streak with a 32-12 win at Poland (0-5) Saturday afternoon.

The game was close early, as both teams battled to a 6-6 halftime tie. But the Lakers blew the doors off Poland in the second half, running off 26 points to seal the win.

Adam Madura had a strong game for the Lakers on both sides of the ball, scoring one rushing touchdown on offense to go along with three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.

The Lakers also got two touchdowns from Kyle Ebling and Luke Elliott and Mike Shea each scored a single touchdown in the victory.

The Lakers will have their work cut out for them this week as they return home Friday night to take on York at 7 p.m. The Wildcats (4-1) come into the game off a 27-14 win over Greely at home last Friday night.
