October programs for seniors have been lined up at Hillcrest Recreation Center, 108 Hillcrest Ave., Scarborough. They include:
Oct. 3, 11:30 a.m., Spiral Arts creative art making. Participants should bring their own lunch.
Oct. 10, 11:30 a.m., Black Point Park presentation. Have questions about the Black Point Park proposal that will be on the ballot in November? Have them answered during this session.
Oct. 17, Seniors Acting Up theatrical performance.
Oct. 24, Jubilee Singers.
Oct. 31, Halloween Party.
Register for these events with Community Services at 730-4150.
Bingo is held every Friday at 11:30 a.m. Participants can pay $2 to play as many cards as they would like. They should also bring their own lunch.
A trip to the Fryeburg Fair Senior Day is Tuesday. The bus
departs the lower high school parking lot at 8 a.m. and returns at about 4 p.m. Cost is $10, and those interested must come in to Community Services to sign up.
Every Tuesday this fall is a walk in Memorial Park. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the concession stand in Memorial Park for a walk with friends and neighbors. Afterward, head over to the Freaky Bean on Route 1 for coffee and where, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesdays, seniors receive a 10 percent discount on all food and drinks.
