Fire and Rescue
Between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported 11 patients to Maine Medical Center and six to Mercy Hospital.
On Sept. 11, at around 8:30 a.m., the fire department responded to a structure fire on Old Mill Road.
On Sept. 11, at around 6:30 p.m., the fire department responded to a chimney fire in South Portland.
On Sept. 13, at around 7:45 p.m., the fire department responded to a grass fire on Peppergrass Road.
On Sept. 16, at around 8:45 a.m., the fire department responded to a smoke alarm on Starboard Drive.

Missing bike
On Sept. 7, at around 3 p.m, a resident of the Scott Dyer Road area reported a missing white bicycle, valued at about $300.
Bone to pick
On Sept. 7, at around 4:30 p.m., a resident reported finding a bone in the Shore Road area. Police are making arrangements to have the bone checked to see if it is human.
Chevy chase
On Sept. 10, a resident of the Mitchell Road area reported that a 2001 white Chevrolet Trailblazer had been stolen sometime during the night. The case is under further investigation.
