Penske Truck Leasing Co. opened a 9,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in Scarborough Tuesday, at 77 Postal Way.
Employing 15 associates, the business offers commercial and consumer truck rental services, full-service truck leasing and contract maintenance. About 60 leasing customers are handled at this five-acre location and nearly 300 vehicles are maintained on site.
The one-story building features a wireless technology component that allows Penske service technicians to integrate various vehicle diagnostic and repair software. To save energy, GE fluorescent light bulbs with electronic ballasts using 50 percent less energy have been installed. The facility has three service bays, a truck washing bay and a two-lane canopy fuel island with high-speed fuel pumps.
