Fire and Rescue

Between Aug. 21 and Aug. 27, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported 14 patients to Maine Medical Center and two to Mercy Hospital.

On Aug. 25, at around 11:30 a.m., the fire department responded to a grass fire on Belfield Road.

On Aug. 25, at around 12:45 p.m., the fire department responded to a fire alarm on Scott Dyer Road.

On Aug. 27, at around 6:20 p.m., the fire department responded to an activated alarm on Shore Road.

Empty-handed

On Aug. 17, at around 7:45 p.m., a resident of the Ocean House Road area reported that someone had been inside the home, but nothing seemed to be missing at that time.

Take a load off fanny

On Aug. 19, at around 5:10 p.m., a resident of Fryeburg reported a lost fanny pack at Fort Williams. It contained a black wallet with $350 cash, a license, a Social Security card, several credit cards. two checkbooks and a passport.

Mailbox mischief

On Aug. 24, at around 1 a.m., police responded to a complaint in the Mitchell Road and Cheverus Road area regarding a group of kids smashing mailboxes. Police located and identified two subjects. The case is under further investigation.
