Community Day reminder
This year’s Buxton Community Day will be held on Saturday at Tory Hill, at the intersection of routes 202 and 112.
A parade begins at 10 a.m. with Pat Wales as grand marshal. A pancake breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 a.m. at Weymouth Park. The fairway with booths, children’s games, food and entertainment opens at 11 a.m. in Weymouth Park. Other events include fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
The event includes the annual Dorcas Society Fair on the lawn at the Tory Hill Church. Lunch will be served under a tent from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Brown-Ganem family reunion
The Brown-Ganem clan held a family reunion at the home of Patricia Cote and at Ray L. Littlefield III’s home on Cornfield Road in Buxton.
“In spite of the weather, there was a wonderful turnout,” Cote said.
Cote said 81 people attended. The oldest was Victoria Cross, Melborune, Fla., and the youngest was Olivia Lynn Leeman, 7 weeks, daughter of Seth and Rhiannon Leeman, Hollis.

Cote said there three raffles and the winners were: Terry Ganem, Gary Ganem and Nancy Piccone.
Owen earns degree
Christina Owen graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., in commencement exercises in May.
Owen received a bachelor of science degree.
Sax on dean’s list
Robert Sax has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
Sax is a fourth-year student majoring in applied exercise science.
