Perennial sales to benefit Project Graduation

The first of three perennial sales to benefit Project Graduation for Bonny Eagle students will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the home of Buxton Town Clerk John and Louise Myers, 1136 River Road (Route 112) during Buxton Community Day.

The Myers’ home is a gray cape and gray garage at the corner of River Road and Eaton Drive at Tory Hill.

The others, two-day sales, will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29, at George E. Jack School on Route 35, Standish, and the finale will be rain or shine on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 and 16, in the parking lot at Bonny Eagle Middle School, 92 Sokokis Trail, Buxton.

The sale includes new and unusual perennials started from seeds donated by Maine seed catalog companies.

Dorcas fair, lawn party

The Dorcas Society will hold its annual fair and lawn party 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the Tory Hill Church in conjunction with Buxton Community Day.

The event, which will be on the lawn at the church, will included crafts, baked goods, pie contest and raffle. Lunch will be served under a tent.
