Applications are now available for the 2007 Windham Education Foundation Academic Scholarship.
For the 2007 graduating class, the foundation will be awarding an individual scholarship valued at $5,000, paid out over the course of the student’s four year undergraduate program. Any Windham-educated 12th grader, whether from Windham High School, Windham Christian Academy, homeschooled or any other Windham-based education, is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Also to be found at the Web site is the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Scholarship application. The foundation’s board of directors encourages all 12th grade students to apply for each of these scholarship opportunities.
The Windham Education Foundation also announces the availability of grants to benefit nonprofit educational programs, projects, field trips, equipment and other approved requests that are not covered by the school system. The grants are open to benefit any student who is educated in the town of Windham. This includes public, private and homeschooled children, of all ages, educated in Windham.
