Flocks of pink flamingos are mysteriously landing on lawns throughout the city this month, but it’s nothing to be alarmed over.
As a lighthearted approach to raising funds for items such as
helmets, miscellaneous equipment, tournament costs and an end-of-the-year banquet, the Westbrook High School boys lacrosse team members, coaches and Booster Parents are having a
little fun working together and suprising and amusing people in the
process.
Approximately 50 pink flamingos of varying sizes flock under the cover of night.
A message accompanies the flamingos, directing where to make a $10 donation to have the flamingos removed, a form to send the flock on to a friend or family member ($15 ) and just to be on the safe side, a small “flocking insurance fee”($5) to avoid being “flocked” again.
To send the flock, call the following lacrosse Booster members Mark at 797-7768 or Colleen at 332-3526.
