The Gorham High School girls ice hockey team reached the final of the Tier II division championship tournament. The Rams fell to undefeated Biddeford by a 3-0 score on Tuesday afternoon at the University of Southern Maine Ice Arena.
Gorham opened the season-ending tourney with a hard fought 2-1 quarterfinal victory over No. 6 Fryeburg and they followed that up with a 3-2 overtime win against second-seeded Lewiston.
The Rams concluded the regular season with an 11-5-2 record and then went 2-1 in the playoffs to finish 13-6-2 overall. They outscored their opponents 52-28 during the regular season and five of their wins were shutouts.
