Bonny Eagle Drama to perform in festival
Bonny Eagle Drama will present “The Mall” in the Maine One-Act Play Festival at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Windham High School.
Rick Osann, Bonny Eagle theater teacher, will direct the play written by playwright William Inge.
The cast members are Matron 1, Megan Wallace; Matron 2, Ashley Grant; Crone 1, Amanda Murray; Crone 2, Alysa Avery; Barney, Stephen Hilton; Dell, Justin Adams; Girl, Mylita Seymour; Sailor, Dan Byrne; Clara, Gretchen Sjulander; and Man, Tim Dupre. Walk On Characters: Husband, Andrew Cardamone; Wife, Breanne Boutillier; Businessman, Brian McCarthy; Woman, Ashleigh Higgins; Mother, Katie Way; Daughter, Vicki Frank; and Friend, Danielle Napolitano.
The production staff includes the assistant director, Becky Bartlett; stage manager, Kyle Skillin; costumes, Jacquee Boucher and Courtney Bruce; running crew, Courtney Bruce, Vicki Frankl, Danielle Napolitano, Bailey Wormwood; sets, the cast, Kristen Saunders, Jon Saunders; painting, Alysa Avery, Amanda Martin; lighting, Stephanie Yum, Kyle Adams; sound, Rachael Davis, and Bobby MacLeod.
“The Mall” tells the story of several pairs who meet on the boardwalk of a seaside resort in the late 1940s. “The Mall” presents several views of love from the innocent first love of two young lovers to the unrequited love of a relationship gone bad with many variations between.
Admission is $7, $4, students.
Bluegrass jam
The Bluegrass Music Association of Maine is sponsoring its monthly jam on 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 at The Roost Function Hall, Chicopee Road, Buxton.
The event features playing opportunity for musicians from each level – beginner, intermediate and advanced. Listeners are always welcome and there’ll be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Admission is $3 for members; $4, others.
