After dropping two games in a row, one to Biddeford and one to Falmouth, Scarborough bounced back with a 6-3 victory at Waterville last Thursday.
Brent Mayo had two power-play goals and two assists. With six goals and 17 assists on the season, he is tied with Mike Dakers for the team lead in points.
Dakers had a goal and two assists of his own, giving him 12 and 11 this season.
Ben Talbot, Brian York and Chris Smith also scored for the Red Storm.
Scarborough was four of nine when playing with a man advantage. Goalie Brant Lucier faced 21 shots, making 18 saves.
Scarborough (7-3) faces Lewiston at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham on Saturday.
Cape Elizabeth scored three unanswered goals in the third period, defeating Leavitt, 4-2, in Auburn.
Senior captains Ben Davis and Andrew Gibson each scored for the Capers, along with freshman Zach Labbe and sophomore Andrew Gibson.
Cape Elizabeth (3-8) peppered Leavitt goalie Richard Thibault with 54 shots in the game. Cape goalie Phil Jordan made 13 saves.
Cape fell at Brewer, 4-3, in overtime Saturday. Davis had two goals in defeat. Gibson scored with less than a minute remaining to extend the game.
The Capers travel to face Camden Hills Saturday.
South Portland (2-7) fell to Lake Region, 9-8, on a last-second goal Saturday at the Portland Ice Arena.
Lake Region’s Nick Marshall scored the last of his six goals with less than 10 seconds remaining to give the Lakers the win.
Nick Girffin had a hat trick for South Portland.
The Red Riots play Bonny Eagle next Thursday at the Portland Ice Arena.
