The Cape Elizabeth boys’ basketball team won at Lake Region, 51-50, last Thursday.

Cape led 43-31 after three quarters and held off a late charge by the Lakers.

Junior Shaine Burks and senior Will Hall led the Capers with 16 points apiece. Junior Tommy Ray added 10.

Cape (6-4) fell to undefeated Greely, 62-55, at home Saturday. Burks led the way with 17 points. Hall added 12.

The Capers host Freeport Friday evening.

The Cape Elizabeth girls’ basketball team dropped a pair of games last week.

The Capers fell 73-21 at Greely on Saturday and dropped a 60-24 home contest to Lake Region last Thursday.

Brennan Balfour scored a team-high 11 points against the Rangers.
