The Standish Recreation Department is starting an Adventure Club for middle school-aged youth. To get the club started, a trip to the Maine Rock Gym for Monday, Jan. 15 is scheduled.
School is closed that day so it’s the perfect opportunity to do something different and fun. The whole day costs $20 per person and includes transportation, equipment, professional instruction and two hours of climbing time. Participants should wear or bring loose fitting clothing to climb in.
The recreation bus will be departing from the Standish Town Hall parking lot at 9 a.m. and returning at 3 p.m. Find out more information at 642-2875. Registration packets are available online at www.standish.org. All forms must be completed for every child. Space is limited to 30 so reserve your spot as soon as possible.
