The Scarborough High boys and girls swim teams faced off against Greely last week. The Red Storm boys came away with a hard fought 93-89 victory while the Red Storm girls were on the short end of a 103-77 decision.

The Scarborough boys had winning efforts from Thomas Green (1-meter diving), Thomas Spencer (100 butterfly), and Nick Twomey (500 freestyle and the 100 backstroke).

The Red Storm 200 medley relay team of Nick Twomey, Jon Russell, Ryan Whelan, and Kaycee Stevens won their event with a time of 1:50.30.

The Scarborough girls had several competitors place first including Nicole Harmon (200 individual medley and 100 butterfly), Christine Beecher (500 freestyle), and Brittanie Bradley (100 breaststroke).

The Red Storm won the 200 medley relay on the girls side as well with Nicole Harmon, Brittanie Bradley, Christine Beecher and Allison Rogers turning in a top time of 2:00.90.

The Cape Elizabeth boys and girls swim teams swept the Cheverus swim team on Monday. The Cape boys scored a 11-64 win and the Cape girls cruised past the Stags for a 122-57 win.

Cape Elizabeth’s boys had first-place swims from Nick Daly (100 free and 200 IM), Peter Alexander (500 free), Bogie Foden (1-meter diving), Alex McFarlane (50 free), and Zach Gavin (200 free and 100 breaststroke).

The Capers also took first in the 200 free relay (Daly, Sean Campbell, Gavin and McFarlane) and the 400 free relay (Daly, McFarlane, Kelley and Gavin)

The Cape girls were led by winning performances from Nora Daly (200 free and 100 free), Helen Evans (200 IM), Rosie Wennberg (50 free and 100 fly), Melanie Pinnette (1-meter diving), and Meredith Sells (100 back).

In addition, the 200 freestyle relay team of Rosie Wennberg, Lilly Wennberg, Ciraldo and Nora Daly placed first and the 400 freestyle relay team – which included the exact same foursome – also won.

Falmouth picked up two wins in their swim meet with South Portland on Friday. The Falmouth boys topped the Red Riots, 94-69, while the Falmouth girls earned a 107-56 win against their South Portland counter-parts.

The Red Riots’ foursome of Nick DeHaas, Adam Robertson, Chris Harle and Will York picked up a win in the boys 200 freestyle relay.

The South Portland girls had two individual wins from Meghan Gallagher (100 freestyle and 50 freestyle). The Red Riots also won the 200 freestyle relay behind the combined efforts of Victoria Stiles, Meaghan McKinnon, Meghan Gallagher, and Molly Bogart.
