The Scarborough High School wrestling team scored 12 points at Saturday’s annual Atlantic Invitational meet at Wells. The top finish for the Red Storm was the fourth-place effort of Ken Mancuso at 145 pounds. Mancuso reached the consolation final where he dropped a 10-3 decision to Courtway of Massabesic.
Cape Elizabeth scored 14 points at the same competition thanks in large part to the third place finish by Nate Lavallee at 285. Lavallee won his consolation final with a 5-1 overtime triumph against Colby Sholler of Wells.
On Wednesday, Dec. 20, the Red Storm were narrowly defeated by Biddeford (41-40) in a dual meet at Scarborough.
Glen Googins had a first period pin at 140 pounds; Mancuso also won by pin at 145; and Brandon Carroll claimed a major decision at 171 with a 25-12 victory.
Molly O’Connor (103), Mineri (119), Amber Fernandez (130), and Ngour (135) all won their matches by forfeit.
