Dec. 15-17: The annual Dance USM concert opened at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 14, in Russell Hall on the Gorham campus. Shows also are scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15 and 16, at 7:30 p.m. and at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. The event features USM student dancers and choreographers, as well as professional guest artists, in original, colorful and energetic performances. Dec. 16: Shawnee Peak has been making snow and expects to open this day for the 2007 ski season. Check with the mountain for details.

Dec. 17: On Sunday at 3 p.m. Faith Lutheran Church of North Windham presents “Christmas In the Barn” at the Knight Farm, 443 Sebago Lake Road, Route 237 in Gorham. There will be a Christmas Pageant with live animals, caroling and refreshments.

Dec. 17: The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ Choir and Friends will hold its annual Christmas Concert at 4 p.m. at the Casco Village Church. The choir will be directed by Eugene Long, with Lynn Foss as organ and piano accompanist. The program will feature sacred and classical music as well as some popular, contemporary selections and a carol sing-along. A free-will offering will be accepted. Light refreshments will follow the concert. Please join us for an enjoyable afternoon of music.

Dec. 18: American Red Cross blood drive at North Windham Union Church in Windham from 2 to 7 p.m.

Dec. 18: Windham Cancer Support Group first annual Holiday celebration at 6:30 p.m. at Charlie Beiggs, 754 Roosevelt Trail. The support group is open to anyone who wishes to discuss cancer issues. Dec. 19: Christmas Toy and Clothes Swap at Lee’s Family Trailer Sales on Route 302 in Windham from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds go to the Windham Food Pantry. Bring your gently used toys and clothes – adult and children-sizes – to share and swap with others in our community. Come spread Christmas cheer with eggnog and other refreshments.
