Bosse, Cyr wed

Karen Jean Bosse and Christopher R. Cyr were married Oct. 7 at Holy Martyr’s Church in Falmouth.

The bride is the daughter of James and Janet Bosse of Westbrook. The groom is the son of Robert and Joyce Cyr of Aroostook County.

The matron of honor was Bridget Tidd and the maid of honor was Kristen Bolduc. Emily Rogan was the junior bridesmaid and Heidi Moen, Michelle Mecteaux and Laura Welch were bridesmaids.

The best man was Michael Theriault and the groomsmen were Jay Bosse, Bernard Pender, Matthew Oliver and Frank Soule.

The bride is a graduate of Westbrook High School. She is the assistant town clerk and motor vehicle agent for the town of Cumberland.

The groom is a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is a Maine State trooper assigned to Troop K in Augusta.

The couple honeymooned in Florida and reside in Westbrook.

Post 62 open house

The Legion Building Corp. of the Stephen W. Manchester Post 62 is hosting an open house from 2-5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, in its headquarters at 17 Dunn St.

The post’s building corporation is celebrating its numerous renovations and improvements, which have been made possible through the generosity of many benefactors. The Cornelia Warren Association donated $55,000 as seed money for the project.

The post is inviting the public, legionnaires and the many donors to the celebration.

Mailhot, Babineau engaged

Marc and Kathleen Mailhot of Westbrook have announced the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Marie Mailhot, to Steven Gregory Babineau of Windham.

The bride-to-be graduated from Westbrook High School in 1999 and also graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2003. She is currently employed by Sepracor Pharmaceuticals.

Her fiancA?© is the son of Jerry and Jackie Babineau of Windham. He graduated from Windham High School in 1994 and the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1999. He is employed by the Windham School Department and the University of Southern Maine.

A July wedding is planned.

Bowden honored

Peggy Bowden has been named as employee of the month for December at the Westbrook School Transportation Department.

Bowden, assistant to the director of transportation, works in the office besides substituting for any bus driver in the system. Bowden’s peers selected her for the honor, said Penny Esposito, director of transportation.

Full Gospel breakfast

The local chapter of the Full Gospel Fellowship International Businessmen will meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the American Legion building on Dunn Street.

Peter and Shondi Fabiano of Fall River, Mass., will be guest speakers.
