Justice state’s top clerk
State senators Phil Bartlett of Gorham and Lynn Bromley of South Portland recently presented Scarborough Town Clerk Tody Justice of Gorham with a legislative sentiment recognizing her for being selected as this year’s Clerk of the Year in Maine.
Women’s business group
A new women’s business group in Gorham, called Gorham Women’s Alliance, is forming as an extension of the Gorham Business & Civic Exchange.
The group will address the specific needs of women. “We want to provide an exciting forum for women to discuss specific concerns in their business and personal lives, and offer them enriching programs,” Trish Moulton, president of the Gorham Business & Civic Exchange, said.
The newly formed board of directors are Patricia Moulton, Dance Studio of Maine; Natasha Suleiman, Xango Juice; Donna Reinheimer; The Singleton Company; and Lisa Thomas, Gorham Savings Bank.
The group will meet quarterly, providing an opportunity to meet and socialize with other women.
Burn off the turkey race
A 5K “Burn off the Turkey” road race will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Gorham High School.
