Windham voters came out against a mineral extraction ordinance by a vote of 4,402 to 2,128.
The ordinance was an attempt to amend the town’s land use ordinance concerning mineral extraction. The proposal was in response to a proposed quarry on Nash Road.
The vote means the town’s land use ordinance will remain the same.
