Erica and I are proud to support Phil Bartlett. We urge the citizens of Westbrook, Gorham and Scarborough to re-elect Phil to the Maine Senate. Anyone who knows Phil appreciates his hard work and humble nature, two signs of a good Maine upbringing.

Phil grew up in Gorham, graduating from Gorham High School in 1994. After graduating from Tufts University and Harvard Law School, Phil returned to Gorham with his wife, Susan. Phil’s dedication to Gorham, Westbrook and Scarborough is amazing. Elected to the Maine Senate in 2004, Phil chairs the Utilities and Energy Committee where he led efforts to promote renewable energy, improve energy efficiency and conservation efforts, and lower energy costs for Maine consumers. Phil is also a member of the Labor and Government Oversight Committees, where he helped create the Maine Regulatory Fairness Board, which allows businesses to recommend improvements to unfair and inefficient government regulations. He also co-sponsored legislation to require lobbyists to disclose whom they are being paid to represent. As a Westbrook resident and President of the Westbrook City Council, I greatly appreciate Phil’s tireless dedication to bringing business and increased educational funding to the Westbrook area and to lowering our tax burdens. Phil also led efforts to create a Pine Tree Zone at the Sappi mill to stimulate economic development in the region

When not representing us in Augusta or working in his busy law practice (or spending some time with Susan!), Phil serves as president of the Gorham Historical Society, as president of the Baxter Memorial Library Association and on the boards of the Gorham-Sebago Lake Regional Land Trust, the Adult Education Advisory Board, the Gorham Economic Development Corporation and the Recreation Advisory Board. Phil is also a member of First Parish Congregational Church in Gorham.

We need Phil to keep working for us. Please re-elect Phil Bartlett to the Maine Senate.
