I agree with Councilor Terry Christy that the Historic lawsuit is a very passionate and emotional issue in Standish. Because it is just that, the kind of reporting in the Sept. 29 Lakes Region issue was unnecessary.

I know all parties involved. They are fine, helpful citizens in our town. They have either run a business or served on important committees. To read this “he said, she said” reporting was offensive. Everyday life is stressful enough without reading this tabloid reporting about a small town issue.

Why bring it up again especially in this way? It was 10 months ago. Let the courts decide.
