In the Current issue of Sept. 21, we really messed up our report on a 4-2 win by the South Portland field hockey team over Thornton Academy.

And by “we,” I mean “me.”

Errors by the Current sports editor turned a field hockey game into a soccer match, and two goals by field hockey standout Kristina Aceto became two goals by soccer standout Christina Aceto.

Not easy to do, but I did it.

Our apologies to Kristina and the field hockey team. We will be back soon to cover another game and to get it right this time.
