AARP Maine has produced a 15-minute video voters’ guide, the first-ever guide of its kind in the state.
AARP asked gubernatiorial candidates to state their positions on four issues: state and local tax caps, focusing on TABOR; home and community-based services; economic security; and property tax reform.
There was no editing of their answers, and each candidate was given the same amount of time for their answers. Participants included Gov. John Baldacci, state Sen. Chandler Woodcock and Pat LaMarche. AARP’s positions on the issues are briefly summarized, as well.
Those interested can access the guide by following the link on www.aarp.org, or order a free copy, either DVD or VHS, by calling toll free: (866) 554-5380.
