The National Kidney Foundation of Maine will hold its annual “Halloween Kidney Walk” on Oct. 29 around Baxter Boulevard in Portland. This walk raises funds to directly support kidney patients throughout Maine. Locally, patients that utilize services at the Casco Bay Dialysis center in Westbrook will be some of the recipients of these funds.

The walk begins at the Preble Street parking lot on Baxter Boulevard on Oct. 29. Registration begins at noon and the walk begins at 1 p.m. Besides the walk, there will be additional activities for adults, kids and pets. There will be a costume contest as well.
