A rally in support of the Maine Taxpayers Bill of Rights will be held Sept. 16, at 10 a.m., at Riverbank Park in Westbrook.

Dubbed a “Great American Tea Party,” the event will feature Mary Adams, chairwoman of the Maine Taxpayers Bill of Rights, and Chandler Woodcock, Republican candidate for governor.

A non-partisan event, organizers say all candidates in attendance who support the measure will be introduced. The initiative will be on the Nov. 7 ballot.
