An Edith Jeffords Road, Windham resident was arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a Tuesday night drug bust.

Seth Jeffords, 28, has been charged with a Class C aggravated cultivation of marijuana, and a Class C trafficking of marijuana and a Class D for falsifying physical evidence.

Windham Police working with a Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force seized 40 potted plants that were growing on the Jeffords property. Dried and packaged marijuana was also removed from the property along with scales, packaging supplies and firearms.

The drug agents estimated the value of the drugs at $80,000. Chief Richard Lewsen said the plants were very high quality and almost ready to harvest.

Windham detectives David Bonnau, James Boudreau, and Officers William Andrew and Raymond Williams searched the property after receiving an anonymous tip. Also, three officers from the federal DEA task force were also involved in the property search.

The agents work through the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program, a federal program that provides additional resources to those areas to help eliminate or reduce drug trafficking.

Windham Police Chief Richard Lewsen said police are still investigating individuals associated with Jeffords who might be involved in the harvesting and distribution of the marijuana.

Wayne Jeffords, of Windham, turned himself in Wednesday after a warrant was put out by local police for his arrest. Jeffords was wanted in connection with an Edith Jeffords Road drug seizure last week.
