South, Villanueva wed
Jayme Marie South and Christian M. Villanueva were married May 6 at Mariner’s Church and Banquet Center in Portland.
The bride is the daughter of Marie and Chris South of Gorham.
The groom is the son of Bob and Sue Villanueva of Gorham and Carol and Kevin Duran of Biddeford.
The maid of honor was Nikki South and best man was Jonathan Roods.
Both bride and groom are graduates of Gorham High School.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and is employed by Ingraham Community Serices. He attended the University of Southern Maine and is employed by Creative Work Systems.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, and currently reside in Portland.
Gospel concert
The Lighthouse Jubilees and Friends will appear in concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, at Little Falls Baptist Church, 746 Gray Road.
The Jubilees and friends from Southern Maine have been singing Gospel music in area churches for more than a year.
Everyone is invited to attend. A love offering will be taken.
Beagle on dean’s list
Emily Beagle has been named to the dean’s list as a freshman for the spring semester at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y.
Beagle is majoring in advertising.
Gazebo program
Dan Grady’s “Marvelous Marrionettes” will appear 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, in the gazebo on the lawn at the Municipal Center.
The show is the finale in a free summer concert series sponsored by Gorham Recreation Department.
