The Cumberland County Democratic Committee is holding a “Lakes Region Go-Blue Democratic BBQ” on Sunday, July 30 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Point Sebago Resort. The event will be held rain or shine.
Honored guests to this lakeside picnic include Governor John Baldacci, Congressman Tom Allen, legislative leadership and the Lake Region’s Democratic candidates.
Barbecue fare, live music, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming and a raffle will be features of this beach party. Canoes and kayaks can be rented by the hour, miniature golf is available for a per person fee.
Tickets, which can be ordered in advance or purchased at the door, cost $25 each; $5 for children ages 3-12, and free for children under age 3. Proceeds from this event will be invested in the CCDC’s Lakes Region Democratic Campaign.
