Library
Windham artist, Thomas K. Merriam will be displaying his artwork through July 31 at the Windham Public Library. His pieces deal with wildlife, which seems only natural since he has done commissioned work for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
There are watercolor and acrylic pieces on display depicting striped bass, grouse, loon and deer among other things. A Commissioner’s Print from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife and a 2004 Honorable Mention Maine Duck Stamp print are also on display.
Birthday Gathering
There was an unexpected gathering to celebrate Isabelle Temm’s 85th birthday, June 25. Her actual birthdate is June 26.
There was a pot luck dinner furnished by family with a great variety of foods. Her daughters, knowing her favorite thing is lemon pie, made a lemon dessert instead of a birthday cake. There were 15 guests, long distance phone calls from Ohio and California, 24 cards and many useable gifts. This all made her birthday very special.
