Here are members of the Smith family at Windham Hill, posing before or after a trip in their carriage. Windham is blessed with many fine old homes and longtime families. This Windham Hill home was built about 1825, and purchased by Edward Smith in 1872. His descendants, the Clarks, still live here. Windham Historical Society has an extensive collection of photos and information about most of the town’s older houses. A major on-going project is a complete inventory of the town’s homes, which were built before 1950.
