Both the Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth baseball teams fell on Friday in their respective regional quarterfinals.

Fifth-ranked Scarborough (9-7) was up on fourth-seeded Deering (10-6), 9-1, in the middle of their Class A game in Portland. The Rams came back and eventually won, 10-9, with a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Cape Elizabeth (11-7), seeded sixth in Class B, traveled to third-ranked Mountain Valley (14-1) and lost, 8-1.
