Gorham High School student Jimmy Durgin, who was 18, escorts foreign exchange student Arlete Bonato of Brazil in style to the prom in 1962.

The photo was taken in the yard of Audway Treworgy on Flaggy Meadow Road. Bonato lived with the Treworgy family while a student at Gorham High School. Accompanied by George Mitsmenn, Harlan Elwell, smoking the cigar, handles the reins with Paul Treworgy standing at the horse’s head.
