Scarborough runs past Thornton 15-3

The Scarborough boys lacrosse team scored five first quarter goals and never looked back in defeating host Thornton Academy, 15-3, Monday.

The Red Storm (10-2, 7-0 MPA) started the game slowly, yet held a 5-0 lead after one period.

Thornton Academy’s Dan Manchess scored to open the second but the Red Storm would score the next nine, securing the win.

Scarborough was led by junior attackman Andy Clark (5g-0a), senior Bryan Macphie (3g-0a), senior Eric Payne (3g-0a) and junior Brent Mayo (2g-2a). Junior Phil Lambert had four saves in three quarters of action in net and senior Mike Sterling had two saves in the fourth quarter for the Red Storm.
