Two New Hampshire men are being held at Cumberland County Jail after allegedly burglarizing the Naples Pharmacy on Route 302 in Naples earlier this week.

On Wednesday, May 17 at 12:36 a.m. Cumberland County Communications received a reported burglary alarm at the pharmacy. Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and discovered that the building had been broken into.

Another deputy responding to assist observed a dark-colored van leaving the area at a high rate of speed and radioed in the description and direction of travel. At approximately 12:50 a.m. the van was located on Route 302 by the Windham/Raymond town line. The van was stopped and the passenger attempted to flee on foot but was caught. Both the passenger and driver were taken into custody and charged.

John F. Redden, 33, of Milford, New Hampshire is charged with Class C burglary, Class D criminal mischief, operating without a license, and failure to give correct name. His bail is set at $10,000 cash.

Grant V. Morse, 40, of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, is charged with Class C Burglary and Class D criminal mischief. Morse’s bail is also set at $10,000 cash.

Both are currently being held at the Cumberland County Jail until they are bailed or arraigned, which will be May 18 at Portland Court.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Windham police and the Maine State Police. The investigation continues by members of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
