On Sunday, June 4, a jazz concert will be held at Keeley the Caterers on Warren Avenue in Portland to benefit the Don Gordan Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is awarded to a Windham High School senior who is planning to further their education in the field of music.

Among the performers are Port City Jazz, Terry White Big Band, Tom Snow, Don Doane, Al Doane, Ralph Norris, Joe LaFlamme and Rick Gordan. The concert will run from 5 to 9 p.m. There is no charge, but donations will be welcomed.

The late Don Gordan was a graduate of Windham High School and had a band which provided dance music for generations, at Lakeland Dance Hall, among other venues.
