Veterans

Mr. Robin Shepard, the State of Maine Veterans Advocate, will be at the Windham Veteran’s Center May 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. He will assist veterans in applying for benefits. There is no fee and no appointment is necessary.

Visits

Glen Cote Jr. recently spent a week here visiting his father. He came from Florida where he is studying music production in college. He will graduate in August.

Hunter Safety

There are still openings in the Hunter Safety Course to be offered May 13 and 20. You must attend both dates, the cost is $5 per person. It will be held at the Windham Public Library from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ages 10 and up are welcome but chilren under 12 must be accompianed by an adult. The course is being taught by Phil Guimond. Liz Wisecup, Highland Cliff Road, has returned home after spending a week and a half in Coronado, California. She visited her daughter-in-law, Emily Wisecup. Liz had a great time and the weather was good.

Cow Chip Bingo

Windham High School’s Project Graduation is sponsoring a “Cow Chip Bingo” at Seacoast Fun Park May 7 at noon. A “Deed” is available for a $10 donation and may be purchased right up until noon.

Meeting

The Windham Drifters Snowmobile Club will meet May 8 at 7 p.m. in the East Windham Fire Barn. This will be a regular meeting.

Raymond and Margaret Cote’s daughter, Jo, will be here for a week from Florida. She will also visit with her sister Lee Ann of Windham and will celebrate her son Riley’s birthday while here.
