The photo at left was taken in 1960 and it shows Main Street when Brackett Street once connected to it.

The church is the Westbrook Congregational Church, which was built in 1932. Brackett Street ran between the church and the building to the right,which was the Brackett Block unit built around 1810 by Zachariah Brackett. Urban Renewal demolished both of these buildings and closed off Brackett Street between Main Street and William Clarke Drive.
