Good Theater, the professional company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center in Portland, is presenting the play, “Enchanted April” through May 7.
“Enchanted April” tells of two frustrated London housewives who decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak marriages. They recruit two very different English women to share the cost and the experience. There, among the wisteria blossoms and sunshine, all four bloom again – discovering themselves in ways that they could never have expected.
“Enchanted April” plays Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets for the Thursday performances are $12 and $18 for Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Good Theater will add a performance on May 6, at 3 p.m. Senior citizens and students receive $3 off Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances.
