How did last season end? Lost 1-0 to South Portland in the Western Class A finals
Key players: Kelsey Griffin (shortstop/ pitcher, junior); Meaghan Myers (catcher, junior); Caitlin LeBorgne (shortstop/ pitcher, junior); Becky Hooper (third base, senior); Sarah Bonenfant (second base, sophomore); Katrina Collins (outfield, senior)
Season outlook: “We lost (pitcher) Ambre Davidson for the season so this has been a big setback for our team, but we have two strong pitchers and our catcher returning so we should be OK there. Our entire infield will be new this year. We should be faster than last year and will have good talent that will come off the bench. We should be able to be competitive with the top teams in the league.”
Boys Lacrosse
Coach: Tobey Farrington (3rd year)

How did last season end? Lost to Cape Elizabeth in the Western Maine semifinals
Key players: Bryan Macphie (senior), Andy Clark (junior), Eric Payne (senior) Brent Mayo (junior), Cody Powers (junior), Ed Needham (junior), and Mark Strait (senior)
Season outlook: “We return all of our offensive threats this spring. The big question this spring is in the goal with the graduation of All-American David Hamilton. We have three goalies who will battle it out for the starting job. After having an extremely young team for two years, we will have some maturity this spring. Many of our juniors and seniors will be playing varsity for the third or fourth season. Several have been contributors since their freshman year. Because of our depth, we should be able to play a more up-tempo offense and a more aggressive defense.”
Girls Lacrosse
Coach: Marcia Wood (2nd year)
Spring 2005 record: 11-2
How did last season end? Lost in the quarterfinals
Key players: Jess Bolton (goalie); Lauren Hagerman (attack); Jess Baker (attack), Brittany Kane (defense); Amy Brigham (center); Jen Chiarantona (defense)
Season outlook: “We only lost three seniors to graduation. Bolton will anchor the defense along with Chiarantona and Kane. Hagerman will lead the attack with Baker and Brigham. Many of the girls have been playing together for three years so they are very comfortable with each other and how each girl plays. We have a tougher schedule this year so it will be interesting to see how the girls can handle the pressure.”

However, when the championship meets come around I fully expect we will be in a position to challenge the top teams. We have a lot of top-end talent, which is going to help us at the big meets … I think a top-five finish at the state meet is in reach if things go well for us this year.”
