A cast of more than 100 dancers from Maine gather together next week in Windham for an evening of performances to raise awareness of autism.
Dance routines will include tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and modern. The show starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 25 at the Windham High School Theater. Admission is $7 and benefits the Autism Society of Maine. Dance studios from throughout greater Portland are participating.
Autism is a neurological disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate, interact with others, and develop a range of interests and activities. Autism is a lifelong disability that affects one out of 166 people. It is currently the most common developmental disability.
