Editor,
I would like to take the time to let people know that there are still some good people in this world.
Around a week ago my family and I lost our six-month-old pug, Kiara. We spent two days and multiple hours trying to locate Kiara with no success. We were beginning to worry because of the below freezing temperatures.
On the third day of searching we placed posters in local businesses hoping that someone had seen her. Later that night we received a call from a man who told us he would like to help find the pug. He said he had tracking and trapping experience and owned a pug as well. We made arrangements to meet at my house the next morning. When he arrived he introduced himself as Ken Parker. We set off into the woods and showed him and his nephew where I had looked for Kiara. I quickly pointed out some tracks and he said, “Those are fresh, your dog is still alive.” Within 45 minutes we located Kiara and after a trip to the vet we found out she was fine. When I offered Ken a reward he graciously replied, “Finding the dog was reward enough.”
Thanks Ken, you’re the dog’s angel.
