The Naples Public Library is pleased to begin offering Medicare Part D help sessions to area seniors. The help sessions will be offered on Thursdays beginning March 16 at 10 a.m.

Many seniors are confused and intimidated by the new program which began offering prescription drug coverage to seniors on Jan. 1. There are a number of available plans offered by many insurance companies which complicates the decision making process.

The Naples Public Library will have volunteers available for one-on-one sessions designed to help seniors narrow their coverage plan choices. These volunteers have attended a day-long training session offered by the Southern Maine Area Agency on Aging and are eager to begin helping those people affected by the Medicare Part D changes.

Sessions are available free of charge and by appointment only. If you or someone you know would like to make an appointment please call the Naples Public Library at 693-6841.
