Editor,
I know you are probably saying “another letter from the Food Pantry” but there is a need to let the community know how much we appreciate their help, so here goes.
Earlier this year the Windham Food Pantry was in need of a new refrigerator. The refrigerators at the Pantry were very old and had seen better days. We were able to purchase one from Seavey’s Appliance at cost. That was a lifesaver for us. Recently we had another emergency, our other refrigerator decided it had worked for the community long enough and was ready to join the first one in retirement. Diane Loring, one of the wonderful volunteers at the Pantry approached Seaveys again and this time they generously donated a side-by-side that more than meets our present needs. They even graciously removed the old one.
A reminder again, that our need for food and clothing donations is not seasonal and as usual is always appreciated. The support the Pantry receives from residents, churches, organizations and local businesses, such as Seaveys, helps us serve those who use our services. Again I say, thank you very much!
