The Westbrook School Finance Committee has announced its schedule of meetings to review the proposed budget for next year. The meetings will take place in room 114 of Westbrook High School and will be televised on the local cable access channel 2. The public is invited to attend.
March 1, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Topics will include Canal Elementary, Congin Elementary, Prides Corner Elementary, Saccarappa Elementary, Wescott Junior High School and Westbrook High School
March 9, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Topics will include Westbrook Regional Vocational Center, Special Education and Local Entitlement, Guidance, Music, Art, Athletics in grades six through 12, Alternative Ed and Adult Education
March 15, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Transportation, Maintenance, Instruction, Title IA, Teacher Leaders, Central Office, School Committee, Technology
March 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Benefits, Enrollment projections, New positions and programs, Estimated revenues
The School Committee will review the budget at the following meetings in March and April. All the meetings will take place at 7 p.m. in room 114 of Westbrook High School.
March 22
The Westbrook School Committee will review the Finance Committee budget recommendations.
March 29
The School Committee will continue to review the Finance Committee recommendations.
April 12
The School Committee will hold a public hearing before it votes on the adoption of the budget.
