This is a photo of the historic Babb’s Bridge, which was destroyed by arson on May 6, 1973.

The present replica was dedicated on July 4, 1976, with Eben Marsh, then Gorham Town Manager and David Miller, who was Windham town manager, among featured speakers. The 66-foot bridge, which spans the Presumpscot River, links Hurricane Road in Gorham with the Covered Bridge Road in Windham.
