The Gorham Town Council is expected to hear results of a study of the Gorham Fire Department at its meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, at Gorham High School.

Town Manager David Cole hadn’t received the study Tuesday morning but expected it soon.

Cole said the study would be about 110 pages, including background material. He said the study would recommend options for a variety of issues including personnel.

Gorham Fire Department and Rescue has nine full time employees including Chief Robert Lefebvre. “It will look at the issue of manpower,” Cole said about the study.

Policy 1 Research and the Maine Fire Training and Education department of Southern Maine Community College did the study jointly. A representative of Policy 1 will make a brief presentation to the town council, Cole said.

In other news, Neal Allen of Greater Portland Council of Governments and Tony Plante, Windham town manager, will address the council about Greater Portland Council of Governments.
