The Westbrook American reported in its issue of Feb. 29, 1956, that Roy H. Clarke, 30, of Mighty Street was named the area’s outstanding young farmer by the Westbrook Junior Chamber of Commerce. Clarke farmed 180 acres and had a herd of 35 cows. He was a nominee for the state title.
