Meeting
The Lake Region Shrine Club will meet Tuesday, Feb. 21, for a dinner meeting at Charlie Beiggs at 5 p.m. This group meets the third Tuesday of each month. Their spouses are always welcome to attend.
Birthday
Norma Newcomb celebrated her birthday Feb. 6. She celebrated Saturday, Sunday and Monday! She went to lunch at Thatchers on Saturday with some friends and then to a movie.
Home
Bruce Peavey, formerly of Windham, now from Raymond, has returned home after spending some time in Maine Medical Center. He had an ICD Unit (Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator) procedure done on Jan. 11. He is now doing much better.
Meeting
The Windham Historical Society will meet Feb. 25. The meeting will be held at the Windham Public Library at 2 p.m.
Birthday
Betty Barto celebrated her birthday Feb. 16. She celebrated with family members.
At Ledgewood
Frances Naugler is now residing at Ledgewood Manor for re-hab. She recently spent some time in Mercy Hospital. She would appreciate cards and visitors.
Party
There was a birthday party at Thatcher’s Restaurant Feb. 4 for Carl Hinkson. Those helping him celebrate were: Ernie & Carlene Falkenberg, Lew & Joanne Weatherby, Don & Joanne Vance, Steve Hall, Kevin Kimball & Judy Simoneau, Ray & Marcia Kirkpatrick, Darrin Kirkpatrick, Sandra Douglas, Claude Hilton, Joey & Liz Metayer, Dave & Judy Vance, Greg & Annette Harmon, Colby Sturtevant, Lori Hall, Stacy Tolliver, Roberta Hall, Stephen & Judy Berry, Enola Jacobsky and Chuck and Launa Varney. Carl’s actual birthday was Feb. 9.
To Connecticut
Dick and Phyllis Wolstenhulme, their granddaughter Janice Sawyer and their daughter Barbara Sawyer recently went to East Windsor, Connecticut. Dick was inducted into the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Maine Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He received a jacket, plaque and a shirt.
