This is long overdue but needing to be said, many, many thanks to the crew at Sullivan Tire in Westbrook. They bailed me out in my time of need.
It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving and my only responsibility was to get my daughter, the bride and her long white formal wedding gown to Kennebunkport for her wedding. Thinking a glass of wine would be nice to have while we prepared for the ceremony, I had placed a bottle of unopened Merlot on the back seat of my car. Thankfully I had not picked my daughter and gown up at this point, because what happened next was disaster. I had to make a sudden stop and the bottle of Merlot crashed onto the floor. I had shattered glass and red wine everywhere. What to do? I was out of time.
I went to Sullivan Tire and told them of my dilemma, they saw panic on my face I’m sure. They promptly, without skipping a beat took my car in and vacuumed it thoroughly. It still smelled to high heaven, but we got “to the church on time.”
Those guys saved my butt. I had to let the community know these are a good bunch of people with quite a good sense of humor, I might add.
Thank you Sullivan Tire.
